  GIIS Weave-a-Tale

There was a time when being called a ‘tell-tale’ wasn’t taken too well. At GIIS we conduct a contest to allow students to come and tell a tale. The GIIS Weave-a-Tale is an inter-school story telling contest where students are encouraged to use their creativity to build a story that can grab people’s attention. After all, being a story teller not only requires a good communication skill but also a great imagination!

GIIS Weave-a-Tale initiates the search for the best storyteller through, an inter-school storytelling competition.

From Rumplestiltskin’s quiz and Tenali Rama’s witticism, to modern day tales of wizardry and science fiction, storytelling remains a fascinating means of expression. While the Kindergarteners do not competing for a prize, Primary school students from Singapore’s local schools and the three GIIS Singapore campuses compete to be adjudged the best storyteller.

Besides the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize for each level there is the challenger trophy for the school securing the maximum points.

The competition brings the best story tellers to a stage where their means of expressions, storytelling concept, language and creative styling are judged by experts.
